Visitors coming by train will find the museum about 5 minutes' walk from the station. Turn right from the square in front of the station into "Moslestraße". Carry straight on across the "Moslestraße/Raiffeisenstraße" crossroads, and turn right at the next crossroads into "Am Stadtmuseum". Now the museum is a few metres in front of you on the right.
If you come by car, drive towards the centre of town (Stadtmitte) on the ring road "Wallring", also called "Innerer Ring". The museum is opposite the City Center Oldenburg (CCO) on the street "Am Stadtmuseum".
Car parking is available during normal business hours in the underground car park of the CCO in the "Raiffeisenstraße". There is direct access from there to the Horst-Janssen-Museum (follow the signs). Outside of business hours, i.e. on Sundays, there are usually plenty of parking spaces on the "Pferdemarkt" car park situated about 100 metres away or underneath the railway bridge on the "91er Straße".
