New side entrance

The adjacent City Museum is getting a new building, which is scheduled for completion in 2025. Until then, the Horst Janssen Museum will be on a building site. The old common entrance foyer will also be demolished. Therefore, the Horst Janssen Museum will be accessible via a new side entrance in 2023 and 2024. 

This entrance is located at the north-western (left) end of the museum on the street Am Stadtmuseum. A door was inserted into the glass transition from the museum to Ballin's Villa and a stair construction was installed. Unfortunately, it was not possible to make this temporary entrance barrier-free.

Since the footpath and cycle path in front of the museum from the Lappan is closed, the new entrance can only be reached directly coming from the Pferdemarkt or by taking a short diversions through Raiffeisenstraße coming from the Lappan or the railway station.
