BARRIER-FREE VISIT CURRENTLY NOT POSSIBLE

Unfortunately, it is currently not possible to visit the Horst Janssen Museum in an accessible manner. This is due to the construction work on the new building for the neighbouring City Museum. The new shared foyer is not yet open for use. As a temporary measure, a side entrance has been installed at the northern end of the museum; however, this can only be accessed via a flight of stairs. This obstacle therefore unfortunately means that wheelchair users are currently unable to enter the museum.

With the reopening of the City Museum in early June 2026, the Horst Janssen Museum will once again be accessible to all visitors thanks to the new shared foyer.

Until then: please feel free to call us to discuss your requirements, our options and current restrictions: Telephone 0441 235-2885 (Museum ticket office).

A disabled-accessible toilet is available. There is also a lift between the exhibition levels.
