How to find us

The Horst Janssen Museum is about five minutes' walk from the main railway station and is in the immediate vicinity of the city centre.

There are paid parking spaces in the parking bay directly in front of the museum, in 91er Straße, Gottorpstraße and in the car parks in the city centre, for example in the Post car park (Bundesbahnweg).

If you come by bus, get off at the bus stop Pferdemarkt or Lappan.

Due to the construction site of the adjacent City Museum, there are the following changes:

  • The Horst Janssen Museum temporarily has a new entrance on the north-western side of the building. The old entrance can no longer be used.
  • Coming from the Lappan junction, the footpath and cycle path along the museum is closed, so you will have to use a diversion. The diversions leads through Moslestraße and Raiffeisenstraße into the street Am Stadtmuseum to the new side entrance of the Horst Janssen Museum.
  • Coming from the railway station, turn right into Raiffeisenstraße.
  • Coming from Pferdemarkt, you will reach the new museum entrance without any detours.
