Juliane Ebner

"For me drawing in movies is everything! It shows the innermost, as a line coming out of the hand, it can open up a space and lead a story out of one-dimensionality. Drawing is truth, because it is simple, direct and honest. That's why drawing is so terribly difficult and so wonderful."

Juliane Ebner is a German artist and filmmaker. She was born in Stralsund and studied sacred music at the Dresden Hochschule, theology at the Christian-Albrecht Universität Kiel and Fine Arts at the Kunsthochschule Kiel. Her work has been shown and awarded with numerous prizes in Germany and abroad. She received the Deutsche Kurzfilmpreis and the Guardini-Filmpreis and is a member of the Deutsche Filmakademie.
