Yoriko Mizushiri

“My hand-drawn animations offer haptic suggestions, delve into fragments of daily life, tiny gestures and moments, and immerse deep into the abysses of the unconscious.”

Born in Aomori, Japan in 1984, Yoriko Mizushiri creates animations that are focused on the sense of touch. Her work has been shown in festivals around the world. Snow Hut and Veil screened in Berlinale Shorts in 2014 and 2015 while Anxious Body was selected for the 2021 Directors’ Fortnight at Cannes and won a total of 15 international awards.
